Rachel finishes a call with her friend Jenny, she thinks that Kuljit could have made more of an effort with her when they met. However, Kuljit is more concerned about Sway and thinks that his best friend is changing for the worse. Kuljit is put out that Sway didn’t join in on the New Year Celebrations.
Later, at the Parkside Sway isn’t pleased when Kuljit shows his concern of Sway learning about Islam and he thinks that he shouldn’t change religion just to impress Nadia. Back at the flat Rachel tries to be the voice of reason and explains that Sway has changed and Kuljit has to accept it. When Kuljit exits in a huff, Rachel thinks to herself that he is perhaps too busy to relaise how much she has changed.
Meanwhile, Upon Jas’s information, Rozena and Zenab turn up at Mani’s house to discover that he had stayed with him over New Year’s Eve. Mani admits that Imran seemed confused and lost in his own thoughts, but he doesn’t know where he is now. Rozena heads off to Silver Hill Park alone and embraces Imran when she finds him. Imran reveals to Rozena that he has every intention to go to the police to tell them that he killed Mickey Reynolds.
When Imran returns to the house, Zenab is furious that he insists on confessing to the police. Zenab reminds Imran of the possible consequences of him going to the police. Not only will Imran be responsible for Mickey’s death but also Mushtaq’s. Zenab thinks that Mushtaq’s heart is weak already and the distress will kill Mushtaq instantly. Rozena and Mani try to intervene but Zenab is determined to see this shock tactic through and it works. Imran becomes an emotional wreck and agrees not to go to the police.
