Mary is overjoyed when Sean turns up unexpectedly and wastes no time trying to feed him up. He shocks Mary though when he says that Siobhan has been to see him. He wants to know how Mary could be so heartless to throw her own daughter out. Mary tries to explain it was for Sean’s own good, Siobhan was a hopeless junkie. She lets slip that Siobhan came to see him a couple of times when he was tiny. He’s outraged that Mary has lied to him all these years…….then he discovers she’s still hiding things when she also lets slip that Sean has a half sister. ‘When were you going to let me know about that’ he wants to know, storming off.
Later at the newsagents Khatija probes Mary for gossip Mary shuts her up, telling her straight out that Siobhan is home for a visit and Sean has moved onto Jodie’s barge. Khatija is surprised by this. Surely there isn’t room for three on the barge. Mary has to tell her that Nadia and Sway have moved out. As soon as Khatija gets home she phones Pervaiz with the news. She’s interrupted by Zak who confesses he knows that Nadia and Sway have moved into the flat over Jilani Fashions. Khatija goes through the roof when she remembers she saw a bed being delivered there that morning!
Meanwhile Sean meets Siobhan to find out why she didn’t tell him about his sister. Siobhan explains she thought it would be too much to take in at once. Siobhan doesn’t want Sean to blame Mary for everything. His Granddad ruled the roost and Mary had no choice. Siobhan asks if she can spend Sean’s birthday with him helping out at the shelter. Sean reluctantly agrees, but one thing’s for sure, he won’t forgive his Gran in a hurry. He’s staying put on the barge.
