Have your say
At the school hall, Pradeep has reserved all the front row seats ready for Roopa’s performance. When Pradeep sees Siobhan, he gets annoyed, he hasn’t reserved her a seat but Rita says she will sit behind them instead, much to Pradeep’s annoyance.
At Sway and Nadia’s apartment, the painting party gets into full swing. Kuljit and Sway start painting one room and he knows Sway is happy despite the Akhtars hating him. Kuljit explains those are the intricate mysteries of Asian community relations, you have to tread on egg shells, it’s a cultural thing.
During the performance, Siobhan walks out, Rita notices she is upset and goes after her even though Pradeep warns her that she will miss Roopa’s performance.
Siobhan can’t believe she missed out on Sean growing up, this has reminded her of it. Sean just had his gran, no mums and dads looking proudly at him, no wonder he hates her. Her mum kept her away from all this. Rita tells her not to keep beating her up about it all, she’s back now and now they’ve started talking, it’s a start.
Nadia and Jodie have almost finished the bedroom and Kuljit and Sway are just drinking and chatting. Nadia explains to Jodie that Zak turned up being all moralistic. Jodie comments that Sean was found on her barge, Kuljit reckons Siobhan is quite fit. They all discuss Christmas and Kuljit says he’s going to Rachel’s, Jodie suggests an early Christmas/Eid party at her place as it’ll be the first Eid that Nadia is away from her family.
Pradeep is annoyed that Rita has missed the whole show and Siobhan blames herself. He shouts at Rita, doesn’t she care about her daughter, is gossiping outside more important? Rita feels guilty and Pradeep warns her that Siobhan has got to go.
