Roopa and Siobhan discuss the choreography that she has done for her school production and Roopa encourages them all to get there early so they get a good seat, including Siobhan. Rita asks Arun for the spare house key to give to Siobhan so she can come and go as she pleases. When Rita makes sure Arun hasn’t heard anything from Sean, he finds he can’t lie and is forced to tell them that Sean is on the barge. Rita warns Siobhan to think about approaching him, she could make things worse.
Siobhan goes to meet Pete at the gym. Pete would have liked her to have called before she arrived in the Street. Siobhan knows where Sean is and wants to go and see him, how would he react by not seeing his son for 20 years but Pete says Kesar is not his son. Siobhan believes she’s not the messed up person that she was, she has a job, got married and has a daughter too. Pete warns her to go home, Sean will find her when he wants to.
Pete visits Sean at the barge who is furious that Arun has told everyone about where he is hiding. When Sean sees Siobhan, he loses his temper. Pete tells him to be reasonable, his mum deserves a chance and he can’t hide forever, Siobhan has been brave coming there and then leaves them alone.
Siobhan apologises for springing her visit on him but she wasn’t sure he would receive the letter, if she decided to write to him. Sean wants to know who his dad is but Siobhan reckons they ought to get to know each other first. Siobhan asks questions about the charity and Sean finds himself telling her about it, he feels like he’s making a difference. Siobhan explains that she was also homeless, her mum and dad didn’t want her, they were ashamed of her. Her mum gave up on her but she’d never give up on him, he should call her.
