Mary is on the phone to the homeless shelter and discovers Sean has been going there. What will Christmas be like without him? Pete explains that Sean probably just needs time out besides, maybe it would be best if they tried to get Sean and Siobhan together, people do change. Mary flies off the handle, she can’t believe that he could suggest such a thing after all the chances Siobhan has been given. Has he forgotten how they have struggled to bring up Sean?
Zenab is cleaning Rozena’s cupboards, they need to talk about the separation. She can’t give up on her marriage, she can love Sameer again otherwise Mickey has won, she shouldn’t let him take away her future. Rozena tells Zenab that she didn’t fit in to that mould of being a wifey and mother to all his kids, besides she’s happier now that she’s free. Before Rozena leaves for work, Zenab informs her that Tara and Arif want them to patch things up. Rozena has nothing to say and leaves.
Bill recognizes Siobhan as she walks into the pub but she only vaguely remembers him. Siobhan is about to head upstairs but Bill won’t let her pass saying Mary’s not in. Siobhan gets defensive saying its nothing to do with him but Bill corrects her, it is his business, him and Mary are together. Siobhan laughs in Bill’s face and walks straight past him.
Siobhan is annoyed that Bill has lied about Mary not being in and she’s even more surprised to see that Mary is looking after Kesar. She didn’t know Pete was in a relationship, how cosy their set up is, here she is looking after a mixed race kid, how times have changed. Siobhan accuses Mary of stealing Sean from her, if she was such a good mother, how come she turned out as she did? She will see Sean and she will tell her 6 year old, Hannah, hell will freeze over before she lets her grandma near her. Mary is left stunned.
