Nadia has had to shower in cold water and the heating on the barge isn’t working. They need a proper place to stay in. Sway gets a text from Kuls to say they can’t have a room at his either just in case Amrit returns. Then Syed calls and a desperate Sway asks if Syed might know of any flats up for rent at the moment.
Siobhan and Rita are in the car heading for the Golden Crown. Rita is going in on her own to try and find out when Sean might be around so that Siobhan can get a glimpse of him. On the way Rita fills her in on all the developments since she has been away including the fact that Siobhan’s Uncle Brian is now some hot shot property developer. Rita pulls up outside the pub saying its time the get the tough bit out of the way. Rita asks Mary how Sean is and is told they hardly get to see him these days. Mary says she had better get Rita those 80’s CDs she left here. That is why Rita came over isn’t it?
Nadia and Sway pop into Jilani Stores to ask Rozena it there is any chance of renting a room in Imran’s old house. Rozena says he wouldn’t want to share because he needs his privacy. Outside they discover a sign in the window saying there is a flat to let upstairs. Nadia reckons Rozena didn’t mention it on purpose because of the history between the Jilanis and the Akhtars. But this flat might be their last hope and they are going to have to find a way to view it without the Jilanis knowing!
Rita reports back to Siobhan when suddenly Sean walks out of the pub. He doesn’t see them but the mere sight of him sets Siobhan off. She can’t believe this grown man is her son and she hasn’t seen him since he was a baby. Rita says it’s not her fault but Siobhan reckons Sean wouldn’t understand that would he. How can she ever ask for his forgiveness after all this time?
