Rita orders Arun to bed. She has an old friend coming and they have a lot to catch up on. Siobhan arrives and the old friends embrace before heading to the kitchen. Siobhan can’t believe how well Rita looks considering she has four kids. She asks about Sean and Rita tells her he is good friends with Arun and about his charity work. He stills lives in the Golden Crown too. Siobhan asks about the rest of her family.
Arun is eavesdropping at the top of the stairs when Krishan comes out of his room and demands to know what he is up to. Arun says Rita is with someone and they are talking about Sean. He guesses it is Sean’s mum and that he needs to look out for his mate. That woman has done Sean enough harm already!
Rita asks Siobhan what happened back then. All she remembers is that she wasn’t allowed to see Siobhan when she was pregnant. Siobhan says her mum and dad took it badly and kicked her out when Sean was born. Siobhan was taken in by drug dealers and it took ten years to get her life back on track. And now she is here to put things right with Sean.
Siobhan opens the living room door and discovers Arun and Krishan listening to their conversation. She calls Rita out and then invites Krishan and Arun to join the party. Arun and Krishan reluctantly follow her into the lounge.
Krishan seems quite impressed by Siobhan and wants to talk more but Rita insists it’s bedtime. Rita then asks Arun not to tell Sean that Siobhan is here. Arun reluctantly agrees. Just then Kamla comes out wondering what all the noise is and reacts badly to seeing Siobhan. She launches into a torrent of abuse in Gujerati. Rita marches her mum away and then returns to apologise but Siobhan says it’s OK. Her own mum will have much worse to say and Mary is going to mean every single word!
