Jinx has driven Jaggy back from Bury and he pays Simran a surprise visit. Simran is pleased to see him until she twigs his ulterior motive. He tries to persuade her to give Jaggy more access to Kesar by hinting that if she doesn’t, Mohit may have no alternative but to tell Simran’s parents about Pete. Angrily Simran accuses Jaggy of putting Jinx up to this but Jinx is adamant he doesn’t know anything about his visit. Minutes later Jaggy is astounded to get a phone call from Simran asking if he would like to come over for Kesar’s first birthday party. After speaking to Jaggy, Simran leaves a message on Pete’s voicemail asking him to invite his mum along to the party as well. They could do with the support – and by the way someone else must be trying to get hold of him, because all those mysterious calls are not from Simran!
Rozena’s plan to stop Mushtaq going to Pakistan works. When she tells him about the separation and begs him not to go Mushtaq tearfully promises he’ll do anything he can. Mushtaq immediately phones Zenab to break the news. He thinks that Rozena’s reluctance to start a family is at the root of their problems. Sameer’s mother thinks the same although she wouldn’t say it in so many words.
Zenab gets straight on the phone to Rozena to try and find out what is going on. She suspects that Sameer has found out about the attack and tells Rozena she’s coming straight home. She ignores Rozena’s horrified protestations and tells her Imran will be okay now, it’s Rozena who needs her. Zenab’s on her way to sort Rozena out and to save their marriage……….
