Have your say
Mani explains to Vinnie that Kuljit has been called away on family business which means he needs him to step in for a week. He needs someone he can trust to run things smoothly, he needs a manager basically. Vinnie reckons he can do the job with no problems at all, Mani won’t even know that Kuljit has gone.
On the way to London, Kuljit goes on and on about his Aunty Rajvinder but then gets a call from Mani, much to Nadia and Sway’s relief. Mani wants Kuljit to visit Vinnie’s dad to check out Vinnie’s story. Sway is a bit annoyed that Kuljit has ruined his time together with Nadia so makes Kuljit drive the rest of the way. However, Kuljit isn’t pleased when the windows get steamed up because Sway and Nadia are kissing and cuddling in the back, he feels like a right gooseberry.
Back in the restaurant, Mani warns Vinnie that the rotas can get complicated and goes through a few more things, all of which Vinnie says he knows. Mani says the ovens must be serviced this week without fail. Vinnie tells Mani to stop fussing, he has it all under control. Then rings his dad to say that he’s in charge and no, he won’t mess it up.
Shirley welcomes Sway, Nadia and Kuljit. Gramps teases Nadia in his usual manner but Shirley warns him to behave, she doesn’t want Nadia frightened off. Nadia helps Shirley prepare lunch and Shirley questions her about her family, she senses that Nadia feels a bit awkward talking about them though. Shirley suggests Nadia can sleep with Sarah much to Nadia’s relief. Shirley explains that she doesn’t want to upset her parents even before she’s met them. Nadia pops to the loo and Shirley tells Sway that she likes her. He reckons she is the one but Shirley believes they will have to be strong.
