Khatija clears up pieces of the vase she threw at Sway yesterday. Pervaiz doesn’t appear for breakfast so Khatija takes some up to him. Pervaiz isn’t hungry, he just wants to know if Nadia has phoned. He has a difficult call to make to the Siddiquis and gets it out of the way as soon as he gets up. He can’t tell them the truth though and makes up a story about Nadia wanting to concentrate on her career. As Zak leaves for college Khatija warns him not to go near the barge. None of them are having anything to do with Nadia until she promises to never see Sway again.
Kamla spots Simran out with Kesar and wastes no time spreading the gossip. Simran rushes straight round to the barge. She sympathises with Nadia’s situation, Simran’s been on the receiving end of parental disapproval enough herself.
On her way home Simran sees Pervaiz walking to work. She catches him up to say she’s heard about Nadia. She’s surprised he’s reacted this way, he was so sympathetic when her own parents gave her a hard time. Fighting back the tears Pervaiz tells Simran to mind her own business.
Kamla drops into the newsagents to have a sly dig at Khatija. Khatija puts on a good front though and claims that all is well at home.
Zak ignores Khatija’s instructions and calls at the barge. He tells Nadia what a mess she has created, why didn’t she tell him? Nadia knows it’s a mess but at least she’s got support from Jas and Simran…… she needs to know that Zak is on her side too. If Nadia was counting on Zak’s support though she’s disappointed as he tells her she should do what their parents want and marry Arshad…… there’s no future for her and Sway!
