Have your say
All hell breaks loose when the Akhtars see Sway. Zak is shocked by the revelations and tries to hustle Sway out. Nadia agrees, Sway being there isn’t helping. Sway wants to defend himself though. He explains they’ve been discreet out of respect for Khatija and Pervaiz but the Akhtars aren’t impressed. When Sway protests they haven’t even slept together yet. Pervaiz loses it. He screams at Sway to get out before he kills him, then breaks down in despair. Zak tries to calm things down as Kamal walks in with Jas.
Pervaiz doesn’t want an audience and orders Jas home. He’s upset she knew all about this while they were in the dark. Khatija’s anger has also turned to tears at the shame. She takes it out on Jas, nastily accusing her of behaving like a whore with Imran, bringing shame on her family.
Nadia tries to make them understand but Khatija says she’s too young to know what she’s talking about, there’s plenty of time to fall in love after marriage. Khatija viciously says their children would be mongrels Sway can’t bite his tongue any longer. Khatija won’t see her grandchildren if she carries on like this! Khatija and Pervaiz snap back they won’t want to see any children of his. Sway accuses the Akhtars of being worse than the BNP. Zak jumps in to shut him up, he’s going too far. Nadia has had enough and announces she’s leaving. Pervaiz forbids her to leave but when Nadia ignores him he orders her out of the house and disowns her as a daughter.
Back at the barge Sway comforts Nadia, her parents will come round. Kamal calls to see how she is, he tells Nadia he just wants her to be happy. Nadia is touched by his concern. Jas turns up next to offer support, after all she understands what they are going through. She tells Sway it’s not going to be easy, Sway agrees and wonders if they’ll be strong enough to see this through…..
