Khatija is excitedly preparing for Eid at Arshad’s parents. She’s got a collection of brand new Salwar Kameez’s spread over the bed trying to decide what to wear. Pervaiz and Zak are looking forward to it as well, only Nadia seems less than enthusiastic.
Sway and Mindy watch the video of the Diwali celebrations. Sway realises how much he’ll miss the extra pair of hands helping out when Mindy leaves. As they discuss the events Mindy subtly tries to find out if Arun has a girlfriend. When Sway tells her what she wanted to hear Mindy shoots off to get some reactions to the celebrations from local shopkeepers. As she leaves, Jodie turns up with some lunch for Sway. Over a Danish he confides in her about his row with Nadia. Jodie thought seeing Nadia with Arshad might have made him realise that it was time to move on. Sway tells her that he had still been hoping they might have a chance but now he’s going to have to accept they are history.
Sameer is just thinking about what to cook for dinner when Rozena walks in, she’s got something to say and there’s no point beating about the bush – she tells him she wants a trial separation. Sameer is distraught, he had no idea this was coming, and with all the recent revelations he thought they would become closer. Rozena is adamant though, she needs some space, away from Sameer. Ignoring Sameer’s pleas for her to stay, Rozena walks out the door. As she leaves for her old house though she announces she’ll still spend Eid with his parents, the last thing she needs is them finding out and doling out ‘helpful’ advice…
