Kuljit tells Manjit that he’s busy so he can say what he wants and leave. Manjit explains that his mum has received a letter from the court of protection and they’re investigating how she’s been running Amrit’s affairs. His mum can’t sleep, she’s distraught. Kuljit says he wants his dad’s money back but Rajvinder’s not telling him anything. Manjit says that she had to put up a bond of £35, 000 for looking after his dad’s house and finances. She needed it as a guarantee to the court of protection. They made the sacrifice and went without that money. Kuljit didn’t know this. Manjit asks why did he wait so long to track his dad down? He wants the money, not Amrit and any expenditure his mum’s made out of Amrit’s money has been legitimately on his dad’s behalf. Has it occurred to him what it cost to fix the house to sell it and keep the mortgage payments? Kuljit says it’s a case of how much she sold it for. Why is his sister in private education? his dad deserves better than a poky flat, he will make sure he gets his money.
Khatija is ecstatic that they’re going to Arshad’s house for Eid, she thinks he will propose they need to go to Pakistan for her wedding shopping. Nadia legs it with Jas when Khatija’s back is turned.
Manjit introduces himself to Amrit. Amrit is delighted and wants him to stay for dinner. Manjit believes family is important and happily opens the picture frame from his sister as a present for Diwali.
Nadia tells Jas that Khatija wants the date set already. Nadia mentions her and Sway kissed during driving lessons. Jas says that explains why Sway was asking about her. Nadia knows it can’t go anywhere, her parents would never accept him.
Manjit sneakingly rings his mum and says it all went better than he thought. Amrit doesn’t know about the lawyers but when he finds out, he’ll make Kuljit puts a stop to it and if he won’t back off, they’ll know exactly what to do.
