Brian bumps into someone with their music blaring wanting to know where Silver Street is. When Brian tells him he’s already on the Street, the man hopes that the place is more kicking that it looks.
Tara calls at a tense time in the apartment and suspects something is wrong. Sameer says he’s tired and may be catching something. Tara hopes he doesn’t pass the bug onto Rozena and invites them both over for Lailat al Qadar. Rozena declines, she’s promised to see a friend in hospital who is scheduled to have an operation. Tara understands, she has to be there for her friend Iman. When she gets off the phone Sameer asks Rozena who Iman is and gets blanked.
The mystery man is Vinod (Vinnie) from London who’s come to find his Uncle Mani. He corrects Mani when he calls him Winnie. Jodie finds him amusing when he jokes that Indraneel is probably hiding in a B&B somewhere for some peace, just like their cousin Debesh did to get away from the wife and kids. Mani explains that they fell out as he didn’t approve of his lifestyle in the old days. Vinnie thinks Mani is a legend.
Brian leaves another voice message for Rozena just wanting to know if she is ok. He asks her to join him for lunch..
Vinnie thinks the restaurant has potential, his dad’s restaurant is doing well because of his flair and creativity. Mani says he can take charge of the celebrations at the restaurant for Eid and Diwali and they have a cooking station outside the restaurant. Vinnie’s not entirely impressed, he’s used to main stage work but suggests the locals could serve the food.
Rozena arrives at the Spanish restaurant but isn’t eating, its Ramzan. Brian apologises for last week, it wasn’t a rejection, he just didn’t want to take advantage of the situation but she can confide in him, he’ll always be there for her if she needs a friend. Rozena explains that being with Sameer is painful, she needs to work things out for both their sakes or it’s over.
