Sameer is surprised to find Rozena home early. She tells him she is going to a business event. Sameer offers to come too and she hastily declines saying they will take her more seriously if she doesn’t go as ‘someone’s wife’. Rozena dashes off saying there’s food in the freezer if Sameer wants it.
Kuljit and Rachel are chatting when the phone rings. Kuljit asks Rachel to answer as he has his hands full cooking. It’s Neera and she sounds distressed. Neera wants Kuls to realize that taking Rajvinder to court is a bad idea. It will affect Amrit’s health and Rajvinder will go out of her way to make trouble. Neera makes Rachel promise she’ll talk to Kuls about it.
Brian picks Rozena up in a new sports car he has bought for his birthday. Sameer calls Rozena’s mobile and she moves away to take the call. Sameer says they need to talk and Rozena says they can do that later. She hangs up and tells Brian she lied about where she was going. Brian reckons she couldn’t exactly tell Sameer she was off to a restaurant with him could she. Rozena suggests they go – tonight she wants to forget about everything.
Over at the restaurant Brian asks how Imran is but Rozena seems miles away. Brian tells her some old duffer is about to get a birthday cake and it turns out to be for him. Brian is appalled to discover they have aged him by ten years in the wording.
Elsewhere Rachel tries to persuade Kuls to reconsider but he says he can’t stop the legal action now. Rachel thinks he should at least tell Amrit what he is planning to do. Kuljit reckons he is leaving his dad out of it for as long as possible.
Brian and Rozena are driving down a country road but she freaks out when he plays a Morrissey track about a small boy who turned into a killer. She demands he turn it off but Brian refuses. They struggle over the CD player and Brian slams on the brakes. Rozena gets out and starts running leaving Brian completely shocked by what just happened.
