Nadia and Khatija are relieved to see Kamal arrive at Court. He tells them he was in two minds but then he thought about his brother. He had to see it through for Khalid's sake. The Akhtars wish him luck as he goes to give evidence and Nadia's pleased to see that Kenny's not looking so smug now. Nadia and Sway wait nervously outside to be called. Nadia tells Sway that Darren has a hot shot Asian babe for a lawyer. She can't understand how an Asian woman could defend a racist like Darren. They try to be optimistic about the outcome but who's going to take the word of an illegal immigrant over a famous footballer?
Kamal begins to tell the Court what happened at the warehouse that night, how Darren made fun of him and got angry when he didn't understand what 'Charlie' and 'Coke' meant. Then Kamal tells the court how Darren tricked him into going outside and followed him out and laid into him. The next thing he remembered was waking up in hospital in agony. Finally Kamal's lawyer asks if there's anything else he wants to add. Watching from the gallery, Khatija and Pervaiz hold their breath wondering if he'll mention the bribe. The colour drains from Kenny's face as he thinks exactly the same thing, but Kamal says nothing and they adjourn for lunch.
After lunch Darren's lawyer, Miss Patel, takes over the questioning. She cleverly twists everything Kamal says making it sound as though Kamal started a fight because Darren was with Nadia. She implies that Kamal planned to marry Nadia in order to get residency and was worried that Darren was moving in on his territory. Kamal protests in vain as Miss Patel quickly winds up her questioning leaving him confused and tied in knots........
