Nadia takes a call from the court. They want to speak to Kamal but Nadia pretends he popped out to see a friend. Nadia worries about how long she can make excuses for him. Khatija takes the opportunity to start bad mouthing him again. Pervaiz suggests Nadia get Zak to ring Hassan to find out if he knows where Kamal is. Khatija starts bickering with Pervaiz and Nadia reminds them this is serious. Khatija says they know but what does Nadia expect them to do.
Kamla tries to cheer Jas up with her favourite soundtrack. Jas laughs as Kamla starts dancing. She tells her Gran to sit down before she knocks something over. Kamla tells Jas she needs to stop moping over Imran. At least now Jas can concentrate on her studies and Roopa. Kamla then upsets Jas again by saying Imran was too old for her anyway and then there was the religion thing too.
Elsewhere Nadia is trying to ring Hassan at work but the phone is answered by a kitchen porter. He doesn't know where Hassan is and says he has passed Nadia's messages on. He then hangs up leaving her feeling exasperated.
Later Roopa tells Jas how annoying it is having to share a room with her again but softens when she realises Jas is upset. Jas says she hates how everyone is pretending to care but they are secretly pleased about her split with Imran. The visit from Kamla didn't help either. Roopa reckons Kamla always manages to make you feel worse. The girls reminisce about a few occasions when Kamla was particularly tactless and collapse laughing.
Nadia is trying to make sense of why Hassan won't take her calls. Pervaiz says might be worried about immigration. Nadia says it's about finding Kamal and getting him to the trial but how can she tell Hassan that if he won't speak to her....
