Shazia apologises for her odd behaviour at the barbecue and assures Mushtaq it had nothing to do with him. Rehan and Danyal enjoyed meeting Mushtaq that day. Mushtaq says Mani is better with young people. In fact he has gone to the Brick Lane festival with his daughter and is bound to be the life and soul there too!
Elsewhere Mani and Jodie are chatting. Jodie is inquisitive about the nature of Mushtaq's 'friendship' with Shazia and Mani says time will tell. Mushtaq was certainly keen to make an impression on her sons. Mani then says they will be meeting his cousin Mohit in Brick Lane . Nadia is on the phone to Arshad but Khatija keeps butting in and suggests they all have dinner together tonight. Nadia starts to protest but Khatija isn't listening. Later Arshad asks where Kamal is. Zak says he left for a job but they are worried about him.
Jodie wonders what Indraneel is doing right now and tells Mani how formally they said goodbye at the airport. He didn't say he was going to miss her. Mani points out she didn't tell Indraneel either and he can't exactly read her mind.
Shazia tells Mushtaq about her violent marriage to Akram. He still manages to wind her up and it's hard pretending to be OK because the rest of the family don't know what he was like. Mushtaq gives her a hug and promises he won't tell anyone.
Mani thinks Mohit's son Vinnie would be perfect as part-time Manager at Saffron Rays. Perhaps they should start him on a trial basis if Kuls agrees. Jodie reckons it sounds like Mani has already made up his mind.
Zak and Nadia wonder if Kamal is OK. Zak worries Nadia says Kamal will be back. He wouldn't miss the trial after everything they've been through. Would he?
