At Saffron Rays, Mani is putting a banner up for Jodie's birthday, amongst all the mayhem, the ladder crashes bringing plates of aloo gobi down with them.
Dr Masud visits Shazia at the spur of the moment and is appalled seeing dirty plates everywhere but she says she's relaxing, she is having time to herself for a change whilst the boys are away. Dr Masud tells her she has a slovenly streak and it's not healthy.
Jodie's birthday party is in full flow and Neel tells Mani that Zak, Arun and Sean are helping him shift some Disti stuff via delivery to London . Mani finally bumps into Mushtaq and says that he noticed him texting very quickly. Mushtaq says it was for business appointments and he shouldn't be such a fuddy duddy.
Jodie reminds Kuljit that he's also a guest so he should relax more but Kuljit says that Pradeep hasn't stopped so it wouldn't be fair. He then has a run in with Neel who moans that the plates aren't warm. Kuljit suggests putting a blow torch to heat them.
Jodie fills Mani in on Khatija running the shop for Mary and how Jaggy has to be a witness in a court case and how Dr Masud is practising again. Mani notices Kuljit is a bit distant and reluctantly Kuljit tells him that his dad's sister has sold his dad's house.
Back at Shazia's house, father and daughter are washing up and Shazia accuses him of nagging her. Dr Masud says that he is just worried about her that's all and perhaps its time for her to find a new man, she's young, she shouldn't be alone.
Mani talks to Kuljit about his aunt and how it's a difficult situation, especially with Raksha Bandhan coming up. Going back to India reminded him how important family. When Amrit recovers properly, he can decide whether to continue the relationship or not. Kuljit says he will never change his mind about that woman.
