Zenab is fretting over Imran's suitcases when he tells her he is going to pop over to the Mela for a bit. He needs to speak to Jas and tell her he's leaving for Pakistan .
At the Mela Nadia accidentally spills coffee over Raghav - and he's due on stage in under an hour! Nadia is mortified and suggests that he clean up back at her house.
Mani and Mary catch up for the first time since his return to Silver Street . She fills him in about Bill and how she feels about being in a new relationship after such a long time. It's nice to be with someone again - especially someone whom she has known from way back. But it somehow feels like a betrayal of her dead husband - especially since George always had his reservations about Bill. Mary also expresses her concerns about Pete and Simran's new relationship. Mani is reassuring -no one will probably ever be good enough for Pete in her eyes. He tells Mary to enjoy herself with Bill - she deserves some happiness. Mani asks after Sean saying he received an email from him asking about his father but he wants to talk to Sean in person.
Khatija discovers Raghav in her kitchen and assumes he is another refugee friend of Kamal's. She tells Nadia she will not have another charity case freeloading in her house. Nadia laughingly explains that Raghav is a famous singer - not a refugee! Raghav goes on stage and performs to an appreciative audience.
Imran takes Jas aside and tells her that he's leaving for Pakistan . He's going through a bad time but it's nothing to do with her. He just needs to get away for a while. Jas is shocked and reacts angrily to his suggestion that she see other people during his absence. Mani interrupts them and Imran is overjoyed to see him. Mani asks Imran to join him onstage to say a few words to the crowd and insists despite Imran's protests.
Mani addresses the crowd congratulating Sway for his efforts and reminiscing about the first Mela twenty years ago. He hands over to Imran who, unable to speak, stumbles away. Mani hurries after him but Imran has rushed off. Mani asks Jas what's going on and she says she wishes she knew...
