Episode Synopsis
Monday 24th July 2006

Mushtaq meets Shazia away from Silver Street and tells her the good news: Zenab is returning to Pakistan for a while. Shazia doesn't think it makes any difference, however. She doesn't want to keep meeting in secret and doesn't think they should see each other while Mushtaq's marriage still stands. Mushtaq's joke about her being a glamorous mistress backfires and Shazia's walks off, leaving him alone in the café.

Sway is at the Centre, finalising some of the Mela details with Jas. She's surprised to hear that Imran's back on board helping with preparations but insists everything's OK between them. Later, however, she admits things have cooled between her and Imran. She knows something's upsetting Imran but he just won't talk to her about it.

Mushtaq calls Shazia to find out what he's done wrong but she doesn't have time to talk. Rozena approaches him as he is hanging up and can see that something is troubling him - but her guess that he's worried about missing Zenab couldn't be further from the truth!

Sameer visits Jaggy to borrow a screwdriver and ends up holding Kesar while Jaggy searches for one. Jaggy tells him he'll be looking after Kesar more often because Simran's got a new bloke - Pete Brady. Sameer remembers Pete from the boxing sessions he ran at the Mela last year.... Later, Jaggy drops in to the Centre and offers to run a football tournament at the Mela. Sway and Jas think it's a great idea - that is until he leaves them to sort out all the details!

Later, Shazia and Mushtaq meet up again, away from prying eyes. Shazia seems to be back to normal and Mushtaq's confused by her behaviour. He thinks she's worried about what her sons will think of their relationship but it seems there's more to it than that - she's actually worried about the amount of time her sons are spending with her ex. Mushtaq tries to reassure her of his own feelings and promises that as soon as Zenab's mamu recovers he'll talk to her about ending the marriage...
