Kuljit, Amrit and Neera arrive at Aunty Rajvinder's. She seems happy to see her brother again but gives Neera and Kuls a cold reception. Kuljit can't hold his tongue for long, especially when Rajvinder says she never thought she was going to see Amrit again - so why didn't she go to the hospital, he asks? He brings up the subject of Amrit's old house and asks why she sold it but Rajvinder neatly sidesteps his questions. She tells Amrit to change into the Kurtha pyjama she's bought him for today and then goes to the kitchen with Neera to fetch some pakore.
As soon as they are in the kitchen Rajvinder lays into Neera. She accuses her of causing Amrit's relapse and says Amrit deserves better than her, a divorcee. Rajvinder only stops her tirade when Kuljit comes into the room. When Rajvinder leaves to answer the phone Kuljit asks Neera if she's OK. Neera pretends she's simply feeling tired after all the sightseeing but Kuljit isn't fooled - he knows Rajvinder has said something and makes Neera tell him what happened. Kuljit wants to have it out with Rajvinder right away but Neera is concerned it will upset Amrit and with the prayers and everything it probably isn't the best time...
Rajvinder's son calls to say he won't be able to make it to see Amrit but really he's just afraid of being near him. Rajvinder has to lie and tell Amrit that her son is ill and she makes up an excuse for her daughter too. Amrit believes her but Kuljit sees straight through her lies, and things soon escalate into a full scale argument between Kuls and Rajvinder. Kuls accuses her of making his dad's illness worse with all her superstitions, and of stealing his money from the house. Amrit's upset by all the shouting and when the doorbell rings he thinks it's the holy men come to hurt him again. Kuljit tells him no-one is going to touch him ever again....
