Kuljit is ready to set off for London but Amrit is still fussing around. He wants to phone his sister first to let her know they are coming but when they try her number the phone-line is dead. Next Amrit wants to fetch his cassettes but Kuls has brought him some CDs to play and they're already in the car. Finally Amrit gets in the car and they're on their way...
...Amrit remembers the cars they had when Kuljit was little and how they used to drive to Southend on holiday. Amrit seems a little confused. He wants to see Neera and Kuls has to explain they won't be seeing her until tomorrow. Today they are visiting his Shirley and the rest of his foster family.
They stop to buy flowers and Amrit chooses yellow ones for Neera. As they get closer to Shirley's, Kuls starts to point out landmarks like his old school and the chippy where he had his first job. But the nightclub where he and Sway had their first ever gig has been turned into a supermarket - Kuls can't believe it!
Shirley and Gramps come out to greet Kuls and Amrit as they pull up at the house, and they both give Kuljit some stick for putting on weight! They all have dinner together and then Kuljit gives Shirley a hand with the dishes. Shirley knows he has Amrit's sister's (Rajvinder) new phone number and tries to persuade him to give her a call, for Amrit's sake; it's obvious he wants to see her. But Kuls isn't ready to forgive Rajvinder for what she put Amrit through when he was ill.
Kuljit shows Amrit all the photos on his old bedroom wall and digs out the old keyboard Amrit and his mum bought for one of his birthdays. Amrit goes quiet thinking about his wife and Kuljit says he misses her too...
