Jas has found a great new bar for her birthday party and she's relieved that Imran seems to be enjoying himself for once - but in reality he's having difficulty pretending everything is okay and is relieved to see Rozena arrive. However, instead of being sympathetic, Rozena has a go at him for not trying hard enough.
Jodie bumps into Kuljit at the bar. He makes a smart remark about booking the night off and Jodie is upset that he's still in a mood with her. But when Kuljit explains that he'd wanted to take his dad to see Neera who Amrit used to live with Jodie feels guilty about not giving him the time off. She doesn't enjoy this side of being a boss and offers to let Kuljit have the following week instead.
Jodie notices that certain residents seem to be pairing off into corners: Sway and Nadia are getting cosy together, as are Pete and Simran! Neel teases her about being too soft with Kuljit and Sway. She tells him it's difficult with such good friends.
Meanwhile Imran has been hiding over at the bar. Jas is convinced he's behaving oddly because of her and Arun moving into his house, so she tells him she's moving back home.
Rozena finds Imran alone again and just as she is telling him to pull himself together when Kuljit interrupts them. Imran snarls at him to back off. Their raised voices attract attention and Rozena drags Imran away before he blows everything. Imran rounds on Rozena, she's got no idea what it's been like for him, a man's life hanging over him all these years. Rozena sees Jas coming to find them and hurriedly explains that Imran has had too much to drink and she's taking him home. She tells Jas to go back to her party, she'll take care of everything....
