Kamla and Krishan get busy with their oral history interviews. Kamla has made a list of all her friends she's planning to interview but Krishan decides the list is biased and ropes Rozena in as a guinea pig. Rozena is a little reluctant, especially when Krishan tells her to be completely open and honest - not exactly Rozena's strong point!
Meanwhile, Imran arrives at Parkside with armfuls of photos and clippings for the memory wall. Sway has arranged some help for him but he's thrown when Gary turns up as his assistant. He's been avoiding Gary 's calls since the adventure weekend. As they work on the wall, Imran quizzes Gary about his dad. Gary tells him he doesn't remember his real dad but he's had loads of 'dads' with all his mum's boyfriends over the years. Imran suddenly announces he needs to leave urgently; he can't get away from Gary quickly enough.
Kamla and Krishan come to Parkside to do some more interviews. They try and talk to Gary but he rudely tells them to go away. They have no more luck with Imran but they finally find a willing volunteer in Sway.
Jas is confused by the way Imran is acting, inviting Rozena and Sameer along for her exam celebration without telling her, then turning up late and not replying to her texts. Rozena tells Jas it's just that things are difficult for him at work at the moment. A bottle of champagne helps the party mood for a while but then Imran suddenly snaps and storms off. Rozena goes after him to see what on earth is going on. Imran turns to her sobbing and drops his bombshell ... Gary grew up without a dad, and it's all Imran's fault he's dead.
