The final Silver Street episode was broadcast on Fri 26 Mar 2010 and the final omnibus on Sun 28 Mar 2010
Wednesday 28th June 2006
The Mela meeting gets underway and music is first on the agenda. Khatija wants John Abraham again but Sway tries to draw their attention to someone like Apache Indian. Khatija has no idea who he is. Zenab is not sure reggae will be to everyone's taste. Pervaiz asks Jodie if Mani will be back, she's not sure, she will definitely ask him. It would be so good if he could make the 20 th anniversary. Khatija wants to know where Imran is as culturally speaking, he understands the Mela. Then Sway makes the announcement that Imran won't be going back to the Parkside Centre and the committee have offered him the job permanently.
Khatija is annoyed that they weren't told about Imran and blames Zenab for not saying anything but Jodie says that Indraneel has loads of experience in this kind of thing too, maybe he could help. Everyone continues to chat and Sway tells Jas that he needs Imran's help otherwise he's going to get eaten alive and besides he said he'd sort the memory wall. Jas says she's not seen him but can leave him a message. Sway gets a bit annoyed with Jodie suggesting Indraneel is the new Midas but Jodie says his suggestion of a reggae band wasn't a great idea either.
Rozena finds Imran at home and wonders why he's not at the Mela meeting. Imran needs a stiff drink, they can do without him. Rozena asks him what is going on, is he struggling with the world of business? Imran doesn't find this funny and as she pushes him further with her talk he gets angry and starts throwing things around. He then puts his finger to her lips and she pushes him away wondering what the hell has got in to him.
Rozena tries to get to the bottom of what is bugging Imran and when Imran says its about what only they both know about, Rozena says they promised each other they would never talk about that. Imran replies that sooner or later they won't have a choice.
