Sean is surprised to see Mary cooking a fancy breakfast. Pete explains it's for Bill who stayed over last night. Mary explains he slept in the spare room but then Bill comes in. Once Pete and Sean have gone she suggests Bill might want to head off instead of hanging around here all day and admits she is worried about gossip.
Shazia calls Mushtaq about council business but he is having trouble hearing her with the football on in the background. Mushtaq suggests they watch the England V Sweden game together later but Shazia is sceptical. Mushtaq assures her it is just two friends watching TV together. Later Mushtaq lies to Zenab saying he will be watching it on his own.
Over at the pub Brian complains about how the football has meant half his staff calling in sick. Pete fills him in on Bill staying over but then Brian spots half his workers. He grabs the karaoke microphone to make an announcement. Brian hopes they are enjoying themselves because they will be making up the time - during the England versus Sweden game tonight!
Bill shows Mary some old photos he found of when they were younger. Sean joins them and is surprised to see one of Siobhan with A.D. Bill explains they were all part of the same crowd that's all but Sean suddenly seems lost in thought.
As Shazia and Mushtaq settle down to the England V Sweden match there is a power cut at the pub. Brian gets a call from the building site to say they have cut through a power cable. Pervaiz pictures Mushtaq in his big house watching the game on his own on a big plasma screen. Kuls instructs Sway to go and get the mini-van. They are off to Mushtaq's place.....
