Simran is out for an early walk with Kesar and stops at the café for coffee. She compliments Jodie's new display of products made by Inrdaneel's charity. Jodie's pleased to hear that Jaggy is moving closer because she wants to take Sim out on Friday and now Jaggy will be able to baby sit. Jodie asks how Roopa's doing but Sim doesn't know - why don't they pop over and see her later? On the way back to the salon, Simran bumps into Pervaiz. He admires Kesar but doesn't hold out much hope of getting a grandchild with Nadia's single-mindedness about her business. Simran tells him her dad won't even look at Kesar.
Over at the Chauhans, Rita and Pradeep are struggling to come to terms with the truth about Roopa - they just don't know what they should be doing to help her. Krishan knocks on Roopa's door on but nothing he says gets an answer. She just turns up her music...
Jodie goes to meet Simran at the salon and is followed in by Pervaiz. While Jodie takes a call on her mobile, Pervaiz hands Simran a present for Kesar - a set of bibs, including one embroidered with 'Granddad's special boy'. Kesar can always think of him as an honorary granddad.
Rita calls Matty's mum to ask if he can stay over to keep Krishan company. The atmosphere is tense and when Pradeep breaks a mug on top of everything else he wonders if Krish should go to Matty's instead. Rita's furious that Jas and Arun kept things a secret - and, even worse, Doctor Masud! Jodie and Simran call round to see Roopa but their timing couldn't be worse. Rita takes the gifts they've brought and shuts the door, leaving them stunned - it's the first time they haven't been invited in. Inside, Rita bursts into tears...
