Arun asks Sean whether Mani has replied to his email about his dad. Arun reckons someone round there must know who Sean's dad is and suggests asking Dr Masud.
In the car on the way to Manchester, Nadia isn't pleased with a newspaper article written about Kamal; it's too general but Kamal insists the only people they need to convince are the Home Office.
Arun and Sean hang around the doctors' surgery looking suspicious as Sean doesn't want to make an appointment. Sean tells Arun to go - he'll collar Dr Masud on his own when he arrives.
Zak finds it amusing that they are racing to Manchester to go to a library - he wishes they were going clubbing instead. Kamal is worried that they left a message for Hassan and he's not called them. He explains they were good friends, they looked out for each other but he doesn't know what's happened to him since then.
Dr Masud gets a nasty surprise when he's virtually jumped on by Sean in the Surgery carpark. Sean asks about Siobhan. Dr Masud explains she was a teenager the last time he saw her and when Sean asks him whether he knows who his dad is, Dr Masud apologises saying he never met him. Sean thanks him for his time and walks away even when Dr Masud suggests they talk further in a booked appointment.
Zak is livid, the library assistant sent them on a goose chase, it wasn't the Hassan they want. They think about heading home when Kamal says he's found him, he now works in a café.
Hassan is so pleased to see Kamal, they chat whilst Zak and Nadia have a drink. Hassan then explains that they have big hearts but he can't help. He lost his own appeal and is illegal, he could be deported if he vouched for Kamal. He can't sign his name, he has to live in hiding but he can't go back or his life would be in danger. He apologises that they've had a wasted journey.
