Kamal has been doing some building work at Jodie's and Nadia tells him to shower and change so they can go to the solicitors. She also offers him a haircut but Kamal insists he pay her. She has no idea how it feels for him to be able to pay his way again after so long.
Elsewhere Khatija is telling Mary how annoyed she is that Kamal could end up living with them for ages yet how much he is costing them. Mary thinks she is being harsh but Khatija doesn't think so. And Nadia's beauty business is going down the pan because of him.
Kamal suggests the man who marries Nadia will be lucky. Nadia tells him to slow down; she doesn't even have a boyfriend. Kamal starts asking about Sway so Nadia changes the subject. Kamal admits he doesn't know what he would have done without her.
Jodie wishes Simran would come to the party on Friday night but Simran says she can't face it. Besides who will look after Kesar? Jodie suggests Jaggy would be happy to do it. Simran seems uncertain but agrees to at least think about it.
Mr Simmons has good news. Kamal's legal costs will be covered but they need a witness statement from someone who can describe the danger Kamal would be in if sent back to Afghanistan . Kamal suggests Hassan who he travelled to this country with but they lost touch ages ago. A determined Nadia insists that they will find him.
Later, Simran leaves a message for Jaggy saying he can spend more time with his son. Her phone rings almost immediately and Simran assumes Jaggy is returning her call. It turns out to be her mum trying to make amends for what happened last week. Simran reminds her mum that she didn't exactly stand up for her and can't have it both ways!
