Pervaiz sees Kamal getting a drink in the kitchen and asks him where he's been hiding - he's hardly been around all week and Pervaiz hopes it isn't because of Khatija. Kamal is worried about the expense he's causing the Akhtars but Pervaiz won't let him think of it. He'll make them breakfast and they can go to Mosque together, no buts.
Over at the Centre, Arun is prepping for his end of year performance. He's really nervous and wishes he had better equipment to work with. Sway tells him to think positive; his set's great.
Kamal is finding it hard to look on the bright side and Zak tries to keep him positive as they leave the Mosque together later: as soon as the Home Office accept his application Kamal can get back into teaching. Pervaiz's friend, Mustafa, offers Kamal cash in hand work decorating work, and says there are a lot of other people who would like his help too...
Arun's set goes down a storm at the Centre and Sway tells him if he ever needs a manager, he's Arun's man.
When Kamal arrives back home Nadia is waiting for him - with a letter from the Home Office. Kamal is too scared to open it at first; his whole life hangs on what's inside. He rips open the envelope and starts to read. When he remains silent Nadia realises it's bad news: Kamal's application has been turned down. Nadia clings to the hope that he'll be allowed to appeal but Kamal is too tired to keep on fighting. The letter is a sign from Allah to go home...
