Simran and Jaggy are in Bury for Aunty Balbiro's funeral. Jaggy's dad thanks Simran for bringing Kesar along: he brightens the place up and it's important to have your family close. Simran is a bit lost for words...
Back in Silver Street , Sean introduces himself to Neel, who's working on his laptop in the café. Neel talks about his work abroad in areas damaged by the tsumami but really Sean just wants to know where Jodie is. Neel tells him she'll be at the house later on.
Right now though, Jodie is with Sway at the barge, tying up his rental agreement. Sway tells her about his birthday meal and how he still has feelings for Nadia, although she's totally wrapped up in helping Kamal at the moment. Sway thinks it's about time Kamal started looking after himself again.
Later on, Sean does manage to catch up with Jodie. She is struggling to tidy up Mani's house and he suggests she asks Zak and Kamal to give her a hand; after all they worked on the new apartments. Then he asks her for Mani's address - he wants to see if he knows who his dad is.
Seeing Mohan with Kesar at the funeral makes Simran think of her own dad - he still hasn't seen his own grandson. Who knows, maybe Kesar could have a good effect on her family just like he has on Jaggy's?
After prizing Kesar away from his grandparents, Simran tells Jaggy she won't need a lift home because she's going straight to her parents in London ; it's time her dad saw Kesar. Jaggy isn't convinced it's a good idea and asks her to sleep on it, and then if she still wants to go tomorrow he'll drive her. Simran agrees but says she won't change her mind: she's going tomorrow and that's final...
