Mushtaq is hounded outside the Parkside Centre by someone giving out leaflets. Jas is furious when she realises they don't want people to vote. Zahir says they are trying to educate people, the elections are haram - they contravene the Koran. Jas is livid and points out there are Muslims in Iraq and Palestine who vote, are they fake Muslims? She tells him to check his history and stop taking away people's right to vote.
Mushtaq meets with Shazia and arrives with a gift, a rollerdex from the closed Marketing Suite. She asks his reason for visiting and he quickly says it's about the residential parking zone extension. Shazia says she'll look into it but she thought his street was suburban and quiet. He corrects her saying it's more of a pre-emptive concern. Shazia asks him how her dad's party was. He wonders why she didn't tell him she was Wahid's daughter. Shazia chuckles, he is so easy to tease.
Jas is still shouting at Zahir giving out leaflets and calls him a fascist until Zak approaches and drags her inside. She's disgusted with him when he takes a leaflet and calls them extremists. Zak says what about the Police knocking down Kamal's door and deporting his friends, there is no democracy.
Shazia's impressed that Jas gave Zahir a run for his money even though he had a right to be there. Young men like that are just searching for meaning in their lives and something to fight against. Mushtaq argues they know nothing about the Koran but likes the fact that Shazia is passionate.
Jas is on the phone to Imran and tells him about the fanatics. Imran says if they weren't threatening anyone, they had as much right to be there as her. Jas comments that their views are anti-democratic and she thought he would agree with her. Imran says what sort of relationship would it be if he agreed with everything she said? Jas says she has no idea.
