Mary and Sean are fixing a broken chair. Sean reckons they would benefit from modern furniture but Mary suggests he concentrate on getting back to college. He is still meeting his lecturer isn't he? Sean tells her to stop hassling him about it.
Kuls is showing Manisha around the park and they chat about old times. He suggests they have a quick drink before she heads off for her train. The pub is full of lunchtime drinkers and Mary is rushed off her feet. She gets chatting to a customer who turns out to be an old neighbour. Kuls points out people are waiting to be served and Bill offers to help. Mary tells him he is a godsend
Arun is still worried about Roopa. Hiding a bag of sick in the wardrobe just isn't normal. Jas suggests another visit to the doctor and they need to do it soon. Later Jas and Arun tell Roopa they have booked a doctor's appointment but she starts making excuses and what if Dr Masud tells mum and dad? He's known them for years. Jas reminds her it's confidential and says to stop worrying. Roopa demands to know why Arun is coming.
Later Mary asks Bill what brings him back to Silver Street after all these years. Bill explains he has moved to a house not too far away and couldn't resist dropping into his old local to see if the old spirit was still there. And he hasn't been disappointed either!
Elsewhere Kuls is saying goodbye and hopes Manisha will visit again. Manisha says she'll miss him.....
