Jaggy gets a cab in Bury and the driver recognises him. Jaggy wants to drive around for a bit and then suggests getting dropped at the Rose and Crown. The pub landlord remembers Jaggy as the only Asian customer they ever had and he followed Jaggy's football career for a while. He asks how things are now and is told they aren't too good really. Jaggy then walks to the jukebox and selects Don't Look back in Anger by Oasis.
We flash back to a scene in the pub with teenage Jaggy, Faye and another friend. They are clearly impressed that he is a football player and laugh at his impressions of his coach and parents. Jaggy is jolted back to the present by the landlord asking if he wants another drink. He says no but asks where Faye works.
Jaggy turns up at her workplace and Faye is surprised to see him after all this time. She invites him back to hers for a catch-up but needs to pick the kids up on the way. She tells a shocked Jaggy she is a single parent now and asks about his love life but Jaggy changes the subject.
We go back in time again to Jaggy and Faye as teenagers. Jaggy is saying goodbye and Faye jokes about taking her with him when he is a hotshot football player. As they kiss an old man starts shouting racial abuse to Jaggy but this only makes them laugh.
Back in the present Faye asks Jaggy how his family are and he admits he hasn't seen them yet. Things haven't gone well for him lately and he has disappointed them. Faye thinks he is too scared to face them and Jaggy says he always has been. Then again he may have changed......
