Kuls goes to see Sway on the barge. Sway has had to shift a few things around like moving the fridge closer to the TV. They laugh and Kuls starts flicking through a box containing Jodie's personal stuff and jokes about Sway reading her diary.
Amrit is sick of being stuck in the flat on his own all day and is delighted when Kuls suggests he help out at the restaurant tonight. Pradeep expresses concerns about this but Kuls assures him it will be fine and they are short-staffed after all.
Mary tells Rita she spent her birthday alone last week and this leads to Rita suggesting a night out. She is going to treat both Roopa and Mary seeing as she missed both their birthdays. Mary isn't sure but Rita marches her upstairs to get ready.
Mary spots Kamla peeking through the door and invites her in but she refuses saying she wouldn't want to spoil their fun. Rita suggests calling a taxi and Mary wonders what she has let herself in for. At the bar Mary has an admirer and Roopa thinks they should let her enjoy herself. She is having a good time too and Rita proposes a belated birthday toast.
Sway turns up at the restaurant and Kuls asks him what's new at Parkside. Sway says they are planning new activities such as comedy nights and they both know who Sarah would suggest as workshop leader don't they? Kuls realises he is talking about his ex-girlfriend Manisha and says no way. He doesn't need the grief!
Pradeep and Amrit are in the kitchen reminiscing about their favourite Bollywood films when Kuls pops in to see if his dad is OK. Amrit says he is just fine with Pradeep......
