Mary has popped round and Kamla tells her how Pradeep has been in a mood since Rita went away. Pradeep gets back from shopping and suggests he might go up to see Krishan. Kamla says she promised to help him with his homework and Mary reckons this is a good opportunity for her to have a chat with Pradeep.
Krishan tells Kamla how much he is missing his mum and says he missed her too when she moved away. Kamla assures him she is glad to be back but tearfully admits she misses Jai. Krishan tells her he is going to look after her now.
Downstairs Pradeep is saying he feels unappreciated and too many things are changing round here. He even put the phone down on Rita earlier because she was in a bar enjoying herself. What if she realises she doesn't need him anymore? He reckons he should phone and apologise. Later Mary tells Kamla how lucky she is to have the family back after what Jai has done - they care about her a lot.
Later Pradeep's apology goes wrong when Rita misunderstands what he is saying due to a bad phone line. She has had enough of his guilt trips and slams the phone down on him.
Arun gets home in the early hours to find Pradeep waiting up for him. Things get worse when Arun accuses Pradeep of not being understanding like Rita. Maybe it's because she knows how it feels to be a student. This doesn't go down well with Pradeep. In fact he remembers a certain tutor called Hilary that Arun didn't like. Is there something about his mum's student life that Arun is keeping to himself? Arun can't believe what Pradeep is implying about his mum. This conversation is over!
