The Jilani-Kavanagh marketing suite is surrounded by angry protesters and Mushtaq struggles to push his way inside. He desperately tries to persuade them he knew nothing about Brian's deal but Pradeep isn't convinced - the security men say they've been paid by Jilani-Kavanagh.
Brian is in Mary's bad books too. Pete argues that what Brian did isn't that bad - he will be providing social housing after all - but Mary isn't pacified. It's the sneaky way Brian's gone about it that is worst. She can't wait to give him a piece of her mind...
Brian and Mushtaq are holed up in the marketing suite as the protesters stand outside. Mushtaq makes it very clear he isn't happy about Brian's double-dealing and Brian says bluntly there's no room for honour in business. He soon gets sick of Mushtaq's 'holier than thou' speech and leaves, giving the protesters a round of applause on his way out!
There are more protestors at the allotments, including Rita and Pradeep. Rita thinks the campaign's been a success in getting the social housing but Pradeep doesn't feel the same way - it feels more like a kick in the teeth. He feels a fool for believing Brian was on their side.
Brian arrives at the pub, drunk, and Mary wastes no time telling him exactly what she thinks. Pete drags him upstairs out the way but Mary takes him some coffee later and carries on her tirade. Brian defends himself saying he only ever got into the deal because of love; because he wanted to get closer to Rozena. Rozena was the real brains behind it all. Brian assures Mary that Rozena might be with Sameer for now but he doesn't give up without a fight...
