Rita phones home to see how they are managing with Uncle Rajan, but Jai thinks she is checking up on him. He is telling Kamla that property is the best investment for her money when Uncle Rajan comes down and contradicts him, reminding Jai that house prices can go down. Jai storms off, annoyed with his interfering. Uncle Rajan tries to warn Kamla about giving Jai control over her money but she won't hear a word against him.
On the canal, Pradeep enjoys the scenery. It reminds him of Gujarat where he was born. While reminiscing he reminds Roopa it will be Navratri next week throwing her into a panic. She hasn't practiced her dance moves. Arun spots Sean and they pull up to let him aboard. Now they can have some fun. Sean soon starts to enjoy himself, they didn't really have family holidays when he was young. Sean tells Rita and Pradeep how glad he is to be home but he feels he has let everyone down, he wants to make his family proud of him.
Meanwhile, Roopa is getting stir crazy and phones Bina to beg her to come and rescue her tomorrow. Krishan asks if she wants a sandwich as she didn't have lunch, he saw her throw it overboard. Roopa says it was an accident, but she doesn't want a sandwich, she doesn't want to get chubby like Krishan! Watching them arguing, Sean tells Arun he is lucky to have such a cool family and wishes he had brothers and sisters. Then he suddenly notices the time and realises he's in danger of missing his curfew. As he rushes off Rita is concerned that Mary will be frantic, wondering where he is. She also worries how it would reflect on her at work.
