Have your say

Rachel rings to see how things are and Kuls tells her all is good. They are expecting Sway's family over. They have been staying in Mani's house since Christmas Eve. It might have been too much for Amrit to have them round on Christmas Day so they are coming today instead.

The Holloways prepare to go round to see Kuls and Amrit. Shirley wants to know if there are any subjects they should avoid around Amrit but Sway says Kuls wants everyone to behave normally. Besides it won't be much fun if they are all treading on egg shells.

Rozena is finding it hard settling into Sameer's home now they are married and his parents constantly fussing over her doesn't help. Sameer says she has to consider their feelings too and she will get used to it. Rozena later phones Imran and tells him how she feels. She wonders how they would think if they knew the truth.

The Holloways arrive and Shirley is nervous about them all getting together for the first time. Sarah offers to put the kettle on so and they can all have a slice of cake. Gramps tells Amrit he once shared a room with a one-legged Sikh. They used to call him Balan Singh. They all burst out laughing and the ice is broken.

Later Shirley jokes about how much Kuls and Sway used to argue as children at Christmas. Kuls realises Amrit isn't joining in the laughter and reassures him that even though he was in hospital they were always thinking about him.

Kuls and Sway laugh about how mush trouble they went to finding Sway's family somewhere to stay. It was sheer luck Mani's house was free. Even Mary had no room at the pub. They hope Shirley doesn't find out they had to run around like headless chickens to make the visit a success.....
