Have your say
After a moving speech from Mushtaq, Khatija takes charge of the rasm and manages to get a nice sum out of Sameer with a salty lassi and an extra hot ladoo. Looking on, Zenab is horrified by Khatija's childish behaviour; whatever was Mushtaq thinking when he invited the Akhtars!
Mushtaq finds Rozena alone on the balcony watching another wedding party having fun. Rozena muses that she never thought that she would have a wedding like this, with both her mum and dad there. Mushtaq persuades her to go back to the celebrations and join her husband.
One by one the relatives offer their congratulations and give gifts of money to Rozena and Sameer. Ashfan keeps track of how much everyone is giving, making a note of anyone she thinks has been mean. Then it's time for photographs and Ashfan is put out at being referred to as distant family, she is Rozena's aunty after all. As the photographer organises everyone, Rozena tries to grab a moment to talk to Sameer but he cuts her off, this is not the place for that kind of discussion.
There's crying and wailing as Rozena and Sameer leave, Rozena is relieved to be going so they can be alone but is upset that Sameer is still being cool with her. She blurts out that he shouldn't have married her if he hadn't forgiven her but he angrily replies that he really doesn't know how he feels right now.
After the 'happy couple' have left, Mushtaq and Zenab take a moment together. As they reflect on the day and how things will never be the same again, the normally unemotional Zenab is overcome with unfamiliar feelings and breaks down in tears in Mushtaq's arms.
