Kuljit is delighted that Amrit can come home for Xmas but Rachel warns him he should wait for the official letter before he gets too excited. Rachel asks if Kuljit's going to tell Sway the good news but they still aren't speaking to each other. Rachel threatens to walk out if they don't sort things out and eventually they both apologise. Kuljit says they'll be having a proper Punjabi Xmas. Sway is disappointed he can't spend Xmas with his own family but he can't take time off from the centre. Kuljit insists they all have Xmas dinner together and Rachel offers to bring along a friend for Sway. This just winds Sway up again though and he storms off. Kuljit knows it's really because he can't be with his own family and decides to invite them over as well as a surprise.
Nadia persuades Simran to go up and see Simran and the baby. Rozena is not thrilled with the prospect and only picks him up under protest, but he stops crying immediately. Nadia teases her that she's a natural but Rozena doesn't have any plans for babies for the time being.
Sameer and Pradeep discuss the allotments meeting over coffee at Pradeep's house when a letter is pushed through the door. They are both surprised to see it is addressed to Sameer. When Sameer reads it it's obvious that he's upset by the contents but he won't tell Pradeep what it is. They leave for the meeting and Sameer gives a passionate speech. Pradeep is surprised at how worked up Sameer is and wonders if it is anything to do with the letter....
