Amrit's consultant is pleased with his progress and proposes it would be a good idea for him to go home for the Xmas period as Kuljit wants. He discusses the case with Rachel and hesitantly asks about her relationship with Kuljit. He warns her that it could get complicated but Rachel reassures him that it's okay. He backs off telling her she can always come to him if she needs to talk to someone about it.
Simran has decided to name her baby Kesar and to register him herself without involving the families. Kamla thinks it's a lovely name and says how much he reminds her of Krishan as a baby. Simran asks Kamla to come with her to the registry office but Kamla refuses. She doesn't want to bump into the Jilanis at Rozena and Sameer's civil wedding service.
Rozena arrives at the registry office looking sensational. Sameer is still suffering a bit after his stag night but despite Brian's stirring the ceremony goes smoothly. Afterwards it's obvious that Brian has had a bit too much to drink. He spots Simran who came to register the baby, and goes over to talk to her. Simran tells Brian that she changed her mind at the last moment and couldn't go through with it without involving the family, or Jaggy. Brian tells Simran she should look after number one. By now he's feeling sorry for himself and the whiskey is talking for him. He confesses to Simran that he's not happy for Rozena and Sameer. He thinks she's made a big mistake but it's her loss....
