Sway has sorted out a phone card for Kamla so she can phone Suresh in America . When she rings though she just gets the answer phone. Kamla is thrown when she hears children's voices on the message. They sound American and she suddenly realises she doesn't know her own grandchildren.
Sean and Zak are having kebabs at Chunky's for the second time that day before they go to Arun's college gig. Zak wants to call at the salon on the way to give Simran the CD he's mixed for her.
At the salon, Nadia and Kulwant have left Simran on the phone to her mum yet again. As she puts the phone down she's overwhelmed by pain and collapses in agony. Just then Zak and Sean call in with the CD to find Simran on the floor groaning with pain. Zak panics thinking she's seriously ill and is momentarily relieved when Simran tells him it's the baby coming. Then it dawns on both guys that she's having the baby......now! They blunder about in panic gathering towels and call for an ambulance. Sean spots Kamla walking past and calls desperately for her help. Kamla takes charge getting Simran off the floor into a chair. Kamla checks on the progress of the ambulance over the phone and tells Sean to hold Simran's hand, which she does a bit too tightly for his liking. Zak is horrified when Kamla instructs him to have a look to see if he can see the head. He's seeing Simran in an altogether new light and it's not what he had in mind at all. He forces himself to look though and sees the baby's head. Simran screams and pushes for all she's worth and the baby boy arrives in the world into Zak's arms.
