Simran is fed up of being pregnant. She's got constant aches and pains and just feels fat and bloated. She's been trying all sorts of things to try and hurry it along. Nadia is shocked to hear she's tried gin until she realises that Simran has been bathing in it, not drinking it! Nadia is full of advice about how to start labour off courtesy of her various Aunties and Kulwant has a few ideas for her as well. Simran jumps every time the phone rings; afraid it might be Jaggy, or even worse, her mum again. When her mum does ring, Nadia pretends Simran is busy with a client as she can't face talking to her again. She knows that she's only concerned about Simran being on her own but she just won't leave her alone.
Sean teases Zak about making a mix CD for Simran. Sean thinks it's funny that Zak still has the hots for when she's so hugely pregnant. They talk about going to Arun's college gig later and Sean admits he's a bit nervous about his first proper night out since he got home.
Kamla and Sway have settled in to the Parkside Centre like a couple of flatmates, watching horror films together at night, but Kamla is missing her grandchildren. She's helping Khatija in the kitchen catching up with the local gossip when she gets upset again. It's started to sink in how alone she is but Kamla doesn't see how she can go back to Rita after all the things that were said. She can't even go to Mary for comfort since they argued about Jai. She decides the only thing left for her to do is to ring Suresh in America ; maybe she could go and live with him.
