It's Guru Nanak's birthday and Kuljit takes his dad to the Gurdwara. Amrit tells Kuls to cover his head and wash his hands and feel so that they can go in and pray. Elsewhere Neeta asks after Kuls and Sway tells her what he is doing with his dad today. Sway also thanks her for looking after things at the café whilst Jodie is away.
Amrit is telling Kuls the story of Guru Nanak when he is approached by someone he used to know years ago. Jaswant is surprised to see Amrit again and even more surprised to find he has a son. He invites them to eat with him.
Pradeep and Sameer are discussing the allotment sale. Sameer hopes that whoever bought the site at least keeps some of its social value. Sameer tells Pradeep that the new landowners have an obligation to provide social housing or their application form gets rejected. If they push the council for this at least it means some sort of victory for their campaign.
Back at the Gurdwara Amrit tells Kuls he will be back in a bit and wanders off. Kuls seems worried and Jaswant comments he seems very protective over his father. By way of explanation Kuls fills Jaswant in about his dad's illness and his time in hospital. Suddenly Kuls gets up thinking Amrit should have been back by now and goes looking for him. Amrit is fine and tells Kuls he shouldn't worry all the time.
On the way home Kuls says he really enjoyed today despite all the excitement at the end. They must do this again. In fact, he is going to change the way they live. It's time to bring Amrit home for good.....
