Roopa and Bina are practicing their dance for the Homegrown Event on Friday. Gary and Saj are leering through the door and Roopa complains to Sway. He rounds everyone up for a word and reminds them the event is their opportunity to show off their talents, the Parkside Centre committee may turn up too so they need to behave. Gary says he can count on them and Sway says that is exactly what worries him!
Rajan pops into the newsagents and Mary asks if Jai is ill only he hasn't turned up to work for a few days. Rajan tells her about the recent showdown where Jai let out a few painful secrets about the family. He persuades Mary to go and see Kamla and Mary agrees even though she can't get her head round why Kamla would leave a loving family to live with a son she hasn't seen for years!
Later Roopa and Bina are trying on clothes Bina was allowed to keep after catalogue shoots and Roopa is delighted at first but then gets it into her head that none of the clothes fit her right. Bina says she just has curves but Roopa has lost interest and decides to go home.
Sway is putting out chairs at the centre when Zak turns up and offers to help. Zak wants to know if Imran got sacked but Sway says it's more like a 'cooling off period'. Sway tells Zak he has a meeting with the steering committee tonight and reckons they want him to stand in for Imran but he isn't sure. What if he isn't the right man for the job?
