Have your say
Zenab is furious with Mushtaq for not standing up to Kamla. Rozena tries to calm her down, would it be the end of the world if it was true? But Zenab is worried about what Sameer's parents will think. When Rozena gets home she finds Imran there and fills him in about Zenab's reaction. Imran tells Rozena he's waiting to hear from Jas about her own parents' reaction. Rozena reminds him how protective Pradeep can be when it comes to his daughters. Rozena is worried what Rita will think about her involvement in this, she hopes it won't affect their friendship. It doesn't only affect Imran and Jas.
Jas comes home to face the music and finds Uncle Rajan. Rita and Pradeep have locked themselves away upstairs. Rajan tries to talk to Jas about how unsuitable Imran is. He is too old, a Muslim with no prospects and his family are not to be trusted. Just then Rita and Pradeep come in, they're ready to listen to what she has to say. It soon dissolves into a row though and Jas can barely get a word in. Rajan calms things down so that Jas can talk. She tells them that she loves Imran and they haven't done anything wrong. What difference does it make that he's ten years older? Angrily she says that people should be allowed to follow their feelings, not rules all the time. Pradeep, just as angry, says that Imran has put these ideas in her head. She has lied to them; forced Arun and Roopa lie to them and made them look like idiots. Jas protests that she couldn't tell them, look at the trouble it's caused. Pradeep doesn't want to hear her excuses though, he just wants the facts, and it had better be the truth this time.
