Rita is still livid with Jai over the club night. Pradeep offers to speak to him but Rita wants to deal with it herself. Jai can run rings round Pradeep. Rita is determined to tell Kamla about Jai's secret, but Pradeep is worried how it will affect the rest of the family. Pradeep takes the children off to Saffron Rays to wish Mani and Jodie a good trip, leaving Rita to deal with Uncle Rajan. They are beginning to regret getting him a mobile phone; the constant calls from upstairs are driving Rita mad. She tries to encourage him to get up but Rajan thinks Kamla and Jai don't want him around. They talk about Jai; Rajan agrees with Rita that he's bad news and that it's about time Kamla faced up to the truth about him. He's worried about her entrusting Jai with all her money.
When Jai gets home he starts winding Rita and Uncle Rajan up straight away. Rita tells him that life is one big joke to him, doesn't he realise that Arun could have been seriously hurt. Jai's flippant reaction infuriates Rita even more and fuming, she tells him Kamla's going to hear all about this. Jai laughs off her threats. It wouldn't be a good idea to worry Kamla; after all, there are plenty of things he could let out the bag that would knock Rita's world sideways....and the rest of the family. As Jai leaves he deliberately knocks into Rajan, hurting his foot.
Meanwhile Pradeep phones from the restaurant so that Rita can hear everyone applauding the poem Krishan recited for Mani and Jodie to say goodbye. Rita tells him to come home, she can't take any more, it's time to tell Kamla the truth.
