Rita and Pradeep are running late for Rozena's engagement party. Pradeep decides to go on without her but first he needs to talk to Arun about the barge holiday. Arun isn't too keen but reluctantly agrees to check out his timetable at college.
A nervous Rozena is also getting ready and Zenab assures her she looks beautiful. Rozena says she prefers modern styles but later, Sameer's mum produces a traditional outfit saying its custom for in-laws to provide it. An unhappy Rozena has no choice but to get changed.
Rita has been napping and turns up downstairs. Kamla asks why she is so moody. What happened with the case she was working on? Rita tells her about the son-in-law suffering at the hands of his family. Just then they hear a voice shouting through the letterbox. It's Uncle Rajan.
Rajan wants to go on the barge holiday but Kamla is having none of it. He simply isn't well enough after his recent fall. No, he must stay here and be looked after by Kamla and Jai. Rajan isn't at all happy about this.
Over at the party, Brian wants to introduce Rozena to his date and mistakes her lack of interest for jealousy. Elsewhere Pradeep asks Sameer for legal advice about the allotments but the groom to be is whisked away by his mum before Pradeep can elaborate. Brian has overheard but makes a sharp exit himself when Pradeep turns to him for advice instead.
Mushtaq starts his speech as Brian whispers to Rozena that Sameer may get involved in the campaign to save the allotments. Rozena thinks this is perfect cover for what they are really up. No-one will ever suspect she is involved. Not with her own fiancé on the opposing side......
